Once I felt the Spirit speak

He taught me truths untold

He gave me a call to serve anew

To be brazen; to be bold.

God told me to remove myself

From where I'd always been.

To get outside of what I knew

And cherish only Him.

I answered the call I felt that day

I went and I did speak

I raised up my voice till it filled the air

And many did look and did see.

Something in my heart that day

Changed forever more:

In front of me was destiny;

I sought to fight no more.

I learned that God doesn't want us to stay

In places we've always been,

but that rather our purpose is ever to grow—

A process which never ends.

He gives us the people to help us be firm

And the people who need us as well.

But we in all things must submit to his will:

Humility invites the Spirit to dwell.

Understanding ones' place in the Kingdom of God

Brings a desire and zeal to do as he's called.
