"... the Lord is able to do all things according to his will, for the children of men, if it so be that they exercise faith in him. Wherefore, let us be faithful to him."1 Nephi 7:12
This week I was able to participate in a special week-long study concluding with a fast completely devoted to learning more about faith in order to find God. It was absolutely incredible, and well, I found him!
I have always loved the concept of faith, I think it is such a beautiful principle purely for the simple reason that it is the foundation for everything else. Without faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, we can't construct our buildings of discipleship because there is no foundation laid. When turbulent times and confusing changes shake our lives, it is the condition of our faith that determines the outcome. We do not want our buildings to fall, so wherefore let us be faithful to Christ.
I know that God is real. I found him this week, but more importantly, I saw another person doing the study with me find him as well. Someone I've come to really love, someone I've been praying for, someone who hasn't had it easy, and that was the greatest blessing I ever could've imagined. I know God is real because he takes care of the people I love. He watches over them, he's always there, even if they, or we, may not be able to always see it. Sometimes the guiding rope is let slack to allow us room to grow.
Life is good.
God is wise.
Let him prevail.
Don't give up.
