"Your friend is your needs answered. And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."

Kahlil Gibran

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year this upcoming week! What an exciting time of the year; it has definitely been busy over here in PA. We spent the days leading up to Christmas, including Christmas Eve, working hard to prepare to serve our community. I single handedly baked over 200 sugar cookies and 40 cinnamon rolls for my companion and I to share to our local community with Christmas Cards testifying of the reality of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

It was beautiful. The spirit touched many hearts those days we spent delivering cookies.

Perhaps most importantly my own.

I've spent some time thinking this week about friendship. I believe that as we read the scriptures, especially those chapters and verses that speak specifically of Christ's time on Earth, we can truly see how he was a true friend to so many. He established and maintained real connections. He cared for others. How important that is today!

All of us have people in our lives that we know and care for. I invite you to try and put a little more effort into reaching out to them and striving to build meaningful friendships. It never needs to be complicated—simplicity pierces the soul. There are lives that need to be touched, hearts that need to be lifted, and souls that need to be connected with.

I know that Heavenly Father always magnifies the efforts of His children to reach out and serve His other children. He wants us all to be happy and find joy. Maybe this week, if you pray for His help, he will use you to help another. I know I will be praying for that guidance and strength as well.

Life is good.

God is wise.

Let Him prevail.

Never give up.

Some of the cinnamon rolls I made! They turned out really well according to the people we gave them to...actually even made a grown man cry we are teaching. As Huey Lewis and The News once said, "THATS the POWER of Love"
