"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6

December truly is the most wonderful time of the year, especially to be a missionary and representative of Jesus Christ. This time of year is all celebratory of Him. So many people naturally come together and harmoniously connect over a shared belief in the baby who was born in Bethlehem so very long ago, and in what he would do for each of them and for all of mankind. As this sacred season begins to hurry on by, don't let a moment of it pass thoughtlessly. Make this Christmas truly special for you and the people you love.

The best way to do that is to focus completely on Christ. Learn of Him. Do as He did. Testify of Him. These three things will make this time of year sacred and holy, and help spread Christ's light throughout the world.

And what could possibly be better than that?

I am grateful for a mother and father who love Handel's, Messiah, and who would always play it during this time of year. I've been impressed recently with the title given to Christ of "Counsellor." In the scriptures whenever the counsel of the Lord is mentioned, it is either accepted or rejected. This leads us to understand that humility is crucial in our ability to partake of the fulness of Christ's role as Counsellor: we must be humble and accept and apply His counsel. His counsel comes in many ways: through promptings, revelation, and prophets. This next week strive to view Christ as Counsellor, and humbly follow as your receive counsel. Miracles will follow.

On a more personal less preachy note, I am doing well and everything here in Reading, PA is progressing. We have four people right now that are close to being ready for baptism, and hopefully this week we can set some dates for them to take that next step. Its a truly humbling thing to see and be a part of. We have transfers coming up this weekend so, everything will be different at that point but I have trust in God and His will. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are so involved in their work, and everyday I see miracles.

Life is good when you choose to see it.

God is wise.

Never give up.
