"And we, ourselves, also, through the infinite goodness of God, and the manifestations of his Spirit, have great views of that which is to come..."Mosiah 5:3 Above my desk on the wall I hang a small calendar. Each night I review the day. If I feel like I worked hard and did my best, I highlight the box allotted for that day in green. I then rate the day from 0-10 in terms of how the day went overall. This helps me be able to recognize long-term patterns of how different circumstances affect my behavior/attitude and also the work as a missionary. This past week, each and every day was filled in with green and marked with a ten or a nine. It truly was a spectacular week! I would like to share some highlights. Tuesday—Lavant, one of the ladies we are teaching, accepts a baptismal date for April 11th and Teresa, who we hadn't heard from in a month, texts us out of the blue and wants to meet with us! Friday—we meet with people outside for the first time in six months. It was so wonderful to sit with people face to face and just, have that interaction away from a screen. We were able to talk to so many people, and, while we were walking around town, we helped this guy push his car out of the middle of the road and get it started again. God was surely with us and guiding us. Sunday—we receive a new referral who we called and had a lesson with. She told us she was looking for a church to join with her family and she absolutely loved our lesson. We are hoping that Latysha will accept a baptismal date this next week! There were many more experiences, but the point of this all is that the infinite goodness of God can be seen all around us. Because of his goodness, the love that I feel from him, and the manifestations of his spirit, I can declare like the people of King Benjamin that I also "have great views of that which is to come" (Mosiah 5:3). I'm excited to see what's ahead. And, what is literally ahead for all of us is Easter! Please, I invite you all to focus more on Christ this week. Study the last week of his life as recorded in the New Testament. Really seek Christ, and please, watch General Conference to hear those inspiring messages from the modern-day prophets! Life is good. God is wise. Don't give up. Elder Childers
